Prison of KZ Struthof-Natzweiler

This is the prison wing of the concentration camp Struthof-Natzweiler in Elsass, France. It's in the same building as the hospital ward, where the nazis made experiments with the prisoners.

Next to each cell door you can see little iron doors, which led into a very little room. These were used to keep prisoners until their execution. They are only 1,5m x 0,8m x 1m in size, too tiny to even allow lying or standing. There was no light, no toilet, high temperatures in summer (up to 40°C), low temperatures in winter (till -20°C), and supposeable no food, too.

Please take a minute and think about those poor souls who lost their lives in concentration camps. Struthof was a little camp compared with others, but there died 22'000 people due to murder, abuse, hunger, environmental influence, illness and suicide.
